Buck Harris, Managing Partner
Buck has been a business and finance consultant for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) loan program for over 15 years. Most recently, he served as Sr. Vice President at Community Investment Corporation, an economic development company that provides financial support to entrepreneurs in New England.
In July 2024, Buck joined the faculty at the University of South Carolina, Aiken, where he will be teaching business finance to undergraduates.
Working with hundreds of business owners in diverse markets gives Buck an in-depth perspective on the most common obstacles to success. As a Stall and Stable Business Coach, he helps our clients with business planning and financial preparation for start-up, expansion, or change.
Buck has an MBA from Quinnipiac University, spent 16 years as a small business owner himself, and raised three horse-crazy daughters who are all currently immersed in the equine industry. His equine partner and good friend is none other than the legendary Bad Hat Harry (Brody)!
Helena Harris, Managing Partner
Helena brings over 25 years of horse experience and business expertise to the Stall and Stable mission. Her career began in software, but after 12 years in the corporate world, she added her professional skillset to her equestrian life and landed full time in the horse industry.
She has worked for barns large and small, managing operations, lesson programs, training programs, general boarding, and speciality services. Her area of expertise is in creating safe, efficient, and profitable stable management strategies, including farm design and property selection.
Helena’s corporate background includes roles in sales and marketing, product development, and corporate communications. She’s worked for, and with, companies like Thomson Reuters, Sybase/SAP, Citigroup, Royal Caribbean, Goldman Sachs, and the U.S. government. In addition to her corporate work, Helena served as a marketing specialist in the equestrian industry for 13 years, partnering with numerous business owners on strategies unique to the equestrian marketplace.
Helena has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies, and is currently pursuing a MSc in Animal Welfare and Behavior at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (PennVet).
