Helena offers half- and full-day workshops in equine behavior. Similar to riding clinics, a behavior workshop is best scheduled with a mid-size group of participants who have similar experience levels handling and/or riding horses.

Half-day workshops run from 9:00 am – to Noon. These include a lecture and discussion about how horses learn, key behavioral indicators, and how to optimize training and management practices using behavioral science. This is followed by a demonstration of training techniques, and then hands-on practice by attendees.

Full-day workshops typically run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, include all of the above, plus participants application of reinforcement methods under saddle or for advanced ground work.

To host a workshop, you will need a covered meeting space, two or three horses for demonstration and practice, and a dedicated paddock, pasture, or arena with solid fencing.

Clinician charges a flat fee per day, plus travel and lodging expenses. For 2026 rates and availability, please contact us.
